Sabritec Incorporation was founded more than 30 years back, and is headquartered in California, USA. It manufactures a broad range of RF and Fiber Optic Connectors and cable assemblies for Military, aerospace, telecom, space, Test & Measurement and commercial applications. In 2007, Sabritec was acquired by Smiths Group (www.smithsinterconnect.com), which are a RF products company for wireless telecom, aerospace, defense, medical, rail and industrial applications. Sabritec specializes in design and manufacture of filter connectors, high speed Quadrax and Twinax for Fibre Channel, Ethernet & IEEE 1394 Firewire, fiber optic, coax, triax, high power and high density miniature circular connectors and contacts & cable assemblies.

Coax Connectors & Contacts

Sabritec offers RF Coaxial connectors such as SCX, MDHC, MDCX, SMP, SMPM, grounded circular, Torque isolation connectors. Contacts include: MIL-DTL-38999, ARINC 404, ARINC 600 and their new high frequency contacts. These connectors are useful for board-to-board stacking.

Cable Assemblies

Sabritec offers cable assemblies through another Smiths Group subsidiary called the Florida RF Labs Inc. (www.rflabs.com). It manufactures RF coaxial cable assemblies for military and commercial applications with testing to 65 GHz. Different categories of cable assemblies are

All cable assemblies are subjected to mechanical constraints and scrutinized with a thorough visual examination, thus ensuring a dependable and reliable rugged cable assembly.

Fiber Optic Connectors

Offering rugged connectors such as MIL-DTL-38999 with fiber optic contacts of size 5 and 12 expanded beam, size 16 butt joint, DIN style and ARINC 801. These technologies are capable of supporting wide bandwidth applications. All fiber optic

connectors and contacts are offered fully terminated and tested ensuring signal integrity for ruggedized application environments. Sabritec also offers a complete line of fiber optic connectors to terminate to the other end of the cables. These

include Ruggedized Single Channel (RSC), FC, ST, LC Duplex/Simplex, MTP, MT-RJ, and Ruggedized SC connectors.

Custom Interconnects

Sabritec offers precision design and manufacturing of electronic interconnect systems by working directly with customers for their specific requirements.

High Speed Quadrax / Twinax

Sabritec offers a line of differential Quadrax and Twinax connectors for high speed Fibre Channel, Ethernet (10 Base-T, 100 Base-T, 1000 Base-T), Firewire (IEEE 1394A and 1394B), USB, DVI and infiniband.

Filter Connectors

EMI/EMP Filter Connector line includes circular, rack and panel connectors, D-sub and Combo D-Sub connectors. Sabritec offers ESD protection, Composite and Solder less connectors.

High Power Connectors

Sabritec’s High Power connectors are based on Hyperboloid® contact technology, ideal for harsh and demanding environments with low contact resistance.

High Density Mini Circular

HDMC series offers the performance of a MIL-DTL-38999 connector in a smaller size. The HMDC is offered with Size 23 crimp removable contacts, Size 12 High Frequency Coax (MDHC) contacts, Size 10 High Speed Twinax and rugged Fiber Optic signalling.

Triax Connectors & Contacts

Full line of concentric twinax/triax connectors, contacts, and cable assemblies. Offering standard mil-spec contacts as well as high differential impedance contacts, rugged D-Sub connectors and Ultraminiature NDL connector offered in both threaded and quick disconnect versions.

Sabritec also specializes in dealing with EMF/RFI/EMP suppression techniques, mechanical design, microwave transmission, high voltage applications, harsh environments and material selection. They also manufacture multi-layer thick film

ceramic capacitors.
