MCX micro-miniature connectors with characteristic impedance of 50 ohm have been designed to achieve a high level of electrical performance and provide repeatable electronic performance from DC to 6 GHz. They have a “snap-on” system. MCX connectors are approximately 30% smaller than SMB type connectors but use the same proven internal interconnect arrangement with regard to the dielectric and center contact. Typical applications include PCMCIA cards small – held communication devices and wireless communications.
