Armored cables required that meet the following requirements.
1. Type: CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC
2. Standard: IEC502 or BS 5467:1997
3. Rated Voltage: 0.6/1KV
4. Conductor: Soft annealed copper wires concentrically stranded in successive layers. In opposite direction to from the stranded conductor.
5. Insulation: Conductor is insulated with a layer of extruded cross linked polyethylene (XLPE compound)
6. Assembling: Two or more cores are laid up with suitable lay to from the assembled cable.
7. Sheathing: Over assembled cable is applied an outer protecting layer of extruded PVX compound.
8. Consists of single layer of galvanized steel wire of appropriate size.
9. Temperature 90 C continuous normal operation and 250C for short circuit condition.
